hi dhool competition is open to public rite? i have seen quit a number of people have already in media dancing for sangeetraz and rameshwara how come they can still participate in this competition its not fair to the other dancers am i rite?
exactly! its all rubbish at the end of the day! kalaiselvan has decided who are the winners. and can tell u now for sure...who he has chosen.

Well said...At this rate, desperate dance groups like rameshwara & sangeetraz are SO DESPERATE to get their name so famous....So, Mr Kalaiselvan, in future, pls give chance to those newcomers....No point giving prizes to the experienced dancers and not bringing out the talent of the new dancers....I do not understand why these dance groups got nothing else better to do, but keep dancing with different group names....
guys, this is a competition for the best Indian dance group in Singapore, not just the new groups.
if it's open to public then rameshwara and sangeshtraz also have the right to enter what.
if all these experienced groups weren't dancing, we'll only have the same ol killabeez, synchronix kind of dancers. because almost everyone else has danced for tv what.

WHY??? bcoz whoever wins the competition i can bet with you, will not be seeing them aft 6 mths... so who you seeing on tv again is rameshwara and sangeetraz... so i think it is beta to give the chance to media dance grp... lolx.. i guess ur brains are too small to even think lor... I think that rather then everyone else, groups like AA and Chakraz deserve to win Dhool simply for the fact that they will get a chance to represent Singapore in the next Aatam Nooru Vagai. Im not belittling the rest of the groups, but seriously speaking, Apsara Asia and Chakraz are a few of the more diverse groups in this competition.
I cannot for my life imagine groups such as Tridiac, Killabeez OR MNJ (just to name a few) competing in ANV. As in, we don't expect them to do any ordinary dance in that international competition, right?
Such versatility and diversity, so far, I've only seen in these 2 groups. But of course, my opinion may change based on what the upcoming groups have in store for us for the Semi Finals. We should just wait and watch.
Who know? Maybe groups other then Apsara and Chakraz do have a few tricks up their sleeves as well. All the best!

so tis sunday theme is 80s, hopefullly all the grps reali open up their ideas, is not going to easy i guess... and not forgetting the international round... just wish all the grp were do very well and make it a tough fight.. all the best to all the grps... WOW the judges plus the viewers guys.. keep rocking guys!!!
How do the judges expect people to vote for the talented dancers when they actually start the voting time so damn early even before the dance groups start dancing.
After all we are only left with just the last few mins to make up our mind to decide which was the MOST talented group???
Isn't it so CLEAR cut that votes are given in accordance to the groups with the MOST SUPPORT but NOT to the talented ones??

they should have continued with just letting 2 groups to be qualified.
i think they should only open the lines for sms voting after all the dances have performed,and also limit to 1 sms vote per hp number.
Atleast 4 the finals i hope dhool organisers would allow all the grp songs to b abit longer like 4 mins....for all the grps in the finals to show wateva they are up to....

Vadi and the other lady host (forgot her name) are really doing a great job on TV. They come in as an additional entertainers for Dhool 2008. As for the dancers, Tridiac very superb!!!!! I love them. Same goes to the girls group (RSR). Cant wait for the finals............

I don't think Apsara Asia should be given any special privilege. All of us got to accept the final say & don't even try to belittle other groups for all have put in their effort & tried their best. In my opinion, I did not see anything special in Apsara Asia other than just entertainment & I don't think the competition is just seeing entertainment. I believe there are other elements to look for such as cordination, costume, etc. Adding on, judges always insists that there are looking for something new, now somebody please enlighten me, what was so NEW about Apsara Asia?...

Based on my experience. Quality & Innovative are important for a competion.I think Vasantham producers should consider bringing back Apsaras Asia & Mera Naam Joler back to the competition. I agree Aerocrats were the best but the next better groups are Apsaras Asia & Mera Naam Joker.

It would be a real bias act to bring Apsara Asia back to the finals. Once a group is out for a certain round, they should not be brought back in for any other reasons, especially when the 7 finalists are known.
As you'll have often emphasised, voting counts big time! If Apsara got the least votes, then so be it. By bringing Apsara in, it's obvious that you all are following what the judges favour as well.
Apsara Asia has done extremely well today. But unfortunately, by not having the maximum votes, they came out. So no one is to blamed for anything, except their own supporters. There is no point just complaining about who came out or who went in. Deserved groups have earned their credits.
Rameshwara and Sangeetraz have all the rights to join in this competition. Those who do not agree to this, are just clearly showing that they are afraid of experienced groups. By these two groups joining, new groups' talent are not belittled in any way. It just bring in the competition, which allows new groups to do their very best.
The groups in this second semi-finals did their very best! It clearly shows their effort. Whichever groups have came out, are not any least worse than the other groups. All the 6 groups today are the winners!
Congrats to Agni Reloaded for coming in as the 7th group.
Good luck for the finals, and do your very best, like you always do!
And, for god's sake, judges should appropriately do their job, only as judges!
Please do not show your facial expressions that you're not happy. It just clearly shows your favourism.
Be fair to all groups and respect the public's choice.

I agree with the previous post by inspiration. Judges should be professional and not show their displeasure. They are degrading the groups that have been selected to enter the finals by pulling a long face.
If Megastar Productions is encouraging SMS voting, then they have to respect the public's decision. I agree that Aspara Asia were fascinating. But if they are not one of the public's choices, respect it just as much as we respect the judges' decision. If not, Vadi and Udaya should quit begging for SMS voting every gap they get.
Aspara Asia was out of the quarters due to lack of support and the same reason they are out the semis. It is a clear signal that somehow they do not garner the public's support. So be it.
If Megastar productions do get them into the finals, it is a Mockery to the groups that are selected and to the SMS voting system. If judges' decision should be final, then we should STOP SMS voting.
Lets be fair and give the groups that are chosen our fullest support.
To the seven chosen groups, you are our representatives. Practice hard and do Indians proud.
Be creative and innovative.
Be imaginative.

I think M.N.J did better than Version 2.8. And i agree with the ppl here, that the judges should NOT show any favaorisim to the groups? if Asparas were to be given a chance, then its NOT fair to the other groups which were eliminated!
last week, 2 of the grps had only one week to practise, it will be very unfair to them if asparas were to be given another chance!
was preety dissapointed with the episode telecasted on 140809.
it was the semi finals of a dance competition named dhool08.
it follws partially the american idol voting system where the judges give their views a nd 70% of the score and the rest is decided by 30% sms votings by the audience/public.
the clear winners were the aerocratz, a talented , and artistic group., outshining from the rest.
and as expected the aerocratz were into the finals with two other deserving groups.
however , the judges keep on rooting for asparas asia , a group which the public are not favour of as the sms votings are the lowest for them throughout the competition.
why is that so?
1. singapore indians are not foolish
2. this particular group is a professional group which is very familiar to the media, thus it is unfair for newcomers( btw vasantham had always mentioned that it will do its best to welome newcomers)
3.the group consists of only 1 indian.( i am not being a racist here)we will not fall for those so called seducive dance steps that your female dancers are trying to put up.
but ppl pls respect , this is an indian show. you may try your luck at the competition organised at mediacorp5, if you think you are so good.
these are the 3 main reasons, so judges pls try to understand...
esp sridevi, your job is to give a score and not plead the producers for a reconsideration of entering asparas asia back into the competition, despite the fact the public have already decided that THEY DO NOT WANT ASPARAS ASIA!!!!

Well said Jai! the msg is clear - ppl dont want apsara in the finals simply becos they r entertainment material not dhool competition material. we want to see a variety in the competition like what aerocratz, version 2.8, chakraz and even killerbeez can offer. Many were mesmerized by aerocratz's sophistication in dance talent, version 2.8 was unique and out of the box (how to forget their fusion dance & chariot-like ending in 1st qtrs & who would hv even imagined that such a ladder could be used in a cabaret theme!), chakraz quite creative (of course their assets are the 'gynastic' girls), killerbeez showed they too can entertain with a difference unlike apsaras. RSR, entertaining with a twist. Tridiac very good in drawing so-called 'inspiration' and 'copying smartly' and quite captivating with their 'trademark' movements. MNJ has talent & creativity bt probably underestimated some of the grpz by coming up with something nice but common. Anarchy is another talented grp who was unfairly treated by being given only 1 wk for their semis. If there shd b an eighth grp, it shd b them. For all those who whine that its unfair that apsaras din get in, ask yrself who stopped u guys from voting for yr fav grp to ensure they get in. It happened for the second time!
Everyone was given equal opportunity so let's just accept the results and be gracious enough to extend our support by encouraging the qualified grpz to do their bestest!

I am rather upset with the results of the 2nd dhool semis. Seriously from my opinion, I feel that the groups who deserves to be in the finals would be aerocrats, mera naam joker, chakraz and apsaras asia. It was pretty disappointing that ar and version 2.8 got in. Its not that they werent good, i am sure they were excellent in their own ways, however by seeing the performance wise and in comparison, i personally feel they do not deserve to be in.
I mean we'l just wait and see the results in the finals rather than bringin down the spirits of upcomin grps... To the 7 finalist, ALL THE VERY BEST GUYS!!! GIVE UR BEST PERFORMANCE!!!

AA wasnt that fascinating... yes they dance pretty well but not so outrageously superb....

Since the judges favour the apsara asia might as well give them the first prize, no need for competition. Judges shldn't show favouritism so openly.I fee the judges are immature and not suitable for judging unlike the previous year judges.
I think Sri Devi and the other female judge are the most unprofessional judges ever to grace our television screens. For God's Sake shut the hell up about Apsara Asia. Their good, i agree, but they are not outstanding enough for your to be continuously harping about how they should have gotten in.

judges should not be biased, it only reflects on their unprofessionalism. We all agree that AA is a good dance team, capable of performing well, but the fact is, there are other grps who are better and well-supported too. Although AA are from a dance school, they stil cant beat grps like aerocratz in choreography then why harp about "AA is a FAN-TAS-TIC TEAM"! AA claim that they believe they hv set a standard for dhool08. You know what many of us feel, its not true, its aerocratz that can claim that. The 7 groups entering the finals are no less capable than AA. No one is against AA, jus that the judges are attracting adverse reactions from supporters of other groups by their comments. I am surprised that a judge who should be composed and professional can sound so stupid to request for a judges vote to get them in. Doesn't she realise what she is doing to the morale of the teams that got in. So who do they feel should not have gone in; Chakraz, agni or v2.8. Why when Sri Devi announced the clear 1st and 2nd, no mention was made of the 3rd. Left us to wonder if it was v2.8 or chakraz. Is it their intention to create a controversy. Hope Sunday's interview round can clear some of our doubts. Meanwhile, let's jz take a backseat and enjoy the finals while the judges do what they deem right, whine n whine! Hope the deserving team wins.

A dance show is not just about talent.. its about a multitute of things, i.e talent, personality, charisma, presentation and LIKEABILITY and popularity..
y harp on a team which has lost instead of looking at the other good teams which are still in the competition.. All of them are there for a reason.. So just Shut Up about Apsaras Asia and get ready to cheer on the other groups who are putting their heart and soul into this competition!
Btw, Lavanya standing up and clapping for Aerocratz was funny to watch.. Yeah, i agree that they are a very good group and that they will most probably win Dhool 2008 but don't be so drama-mama please.. lol...
IF this competition is FAIR If this competition is about appreciating real TALENT if this competition is about getting the BEST GRP to represent Singapore. I DONT think WHY VOTING LINE SHOULD BE OPEN BEFORE THE GROUPS PERFORM. But that doesnt mean i m suggesting to keep one vote per line or vote for few hours only. WHY NOT VOTING LINE OPEN ONE WEEK AFTER THEIR PERFORMANCE??? and have a results show after a week. That will be the best fair show ever. Please for next dhool. Don ever have such a bias voting system like this. A competition is to judge how the real performance.. I never seen any international shows open voting lines before a performance especially for finals. They will have a voting line for a week after the performance and will have a final show. I think preview to final is utter waste. Rather you should have a results show. Please don create a bad name for talent.. We hope next year's dhool is better and fairer
to anonymous: maybe we should analyse why these groups have been chosen. namely, chakraz apsara asia tridiac & aerocratz. When u analyse this matter, u would realise that they are the creme-de-la-creme of this competition. And the deserving groups are in these four groups.
version 2.8 was top 3 from wat i heard. hmmm...varying comments ..god knows wats true. but of well..all are doin great. v2.8, chakraz and aerocrats should win.

On one hand, the judges keep on saying "vote for talent". On the other hand, voting opens one week before the "talent" is actually shown. What a contradiction!! You can't blame pple for voting for their friends/relatives/bfs/gfs if voting is open way in advance. I mean its only understandable. This will turn it into a popularity contest and I am pretty sure the judges and producers know this.
So next time, kindly refrain from confusing the people who are watching and contradicting yourselves.

It looks likely that whoever performs well on that particular day is going to win. But all the judges (Including Sangeetha) has the reponsibility to ensure that winning cheque goes to a VERY DESERVING TEAM!

It is easy for groups to perform what they have practised , with all the jumping , acrobatic stunts , artificial grins etc . But Version 2.8 displayed something extra . To have the skill to plan on the spot what to do next when something goes wrong needs a person to have the head on the shoulder ( one of them had a muscle pull ) but the way he made his exit and returned with the ladder was kind of cute . Puts them one cut above .
well thats very commendable indeed... good presence of mind to do sumthing like that in a life show....
BUT....but but but....
it is understood that this is a high ended dance competition that we indians have and we know that its huge and all..so im sure if a tridiac dancer had a stroke in the midst of their dance of one the chakras broke their legs while performing or aerocratz dancers had a stomach ache all of a sudden...they would ve done the same.
cos everybody on that finals stage wants to win the title and they re not gonna give in to mishaps like these.
so please stop over glorifying version 2.8 cos they did what is expected out of them. and a bravo to that .period. nothing more nothing less

Yup, mayb aerocratz cd have hidden a stomache well with that "stomache look" on their face that they had througout their dance. Hwever, I dont knw if chakraz and tridiac cd hv hidden it just as well, if one of them had a broken leg or a stroke. Cmmon, dont jz talk for the sake of talking. If a grp's performance is applaudable during such a crisis, wats wrong in glorifying them. we as supporters of our own chosen grp wont lose anything, we will be jz more humane! It takes guts to be there and I think all seven grps up there are commendable. We can continue to support our own grp while not attacking other grps. The best will be the champion and the rest will be the winners!
